According to , Lingard's clothing firm 'Be Yourself Clothing Ltd' has been struck off by Companies House for its failure to file accounts on time, being handed a £750 fine. Having been served a closure order in April, its last financial details showed the company owed £53,953 and still had £25,126 worth of unsold stock.

Lingard had placed fashion brand JLingz Ltd into voluntary liquidation back in January after accumulating a huge debt of £276,000. He had launched the fashion line in 2018 and faced criticism from United legends like Gary Neville and Roy Keane for supposedly losing on his football career.

The 32-year-old made 232 appearances for United, helping the Red Devils win the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Europa League and Community Shield before departing at the expiry of his contract in 2022. He signed a one-year deal with Nottingham Forest but left after scoring two goals in his solitary season at the City Ground.
