Lewandowski sparked the Barcelona comeback against La Liga title rivals Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday, scoring a superb volley on the turn to bring the score back to 2-1. His team-mates did the rest as the La Liga leaders went on to win 4-2, and now the Polish striker can enjoy the milestone he reached in Spain's capital.

The 36-year-old's 72nd-minute strike moved him to 35 goals in all competitions this term and he becomes the first player to reach that tally for Barcelona since Messi in 2020-21. The Argentine icon, who now plays for Inter Miami in MLS, went on to record 38 goals in what would turn out to be his final season at Barca.
