Manchester City fans can’t seem to get enough of Phil Foden now that the 19-year-old is starting to get more serious first-team minutes, and now he’s gone and broken a Guinness World Record.
Foden’s profile has skyrocketed this past week with his brilliant performance in the Champions League against Atalanta. The academy graduate claimed an assist and looked at home in City’s midfield throughout with 94% passing accuracy, despite his late sending off.
Now, just days on from his memorable night at the Etihad, the youth product has claimed another prestigious award. Foden has been crowned the youngest Premier League winner in history, claiming a medal at 17 years and 350 days old at the end of the 2017-18 season.
The Stockport-born starlet also went on to to pick up the Premier League trophy the following season, which means Foden has an FA Cup, two League Cups, two league titles and an U17s World Cup under his belt already.
Plus, considering the youngster won’t turn 20 until May 28, there is a great chance his trophy cabinet could get even bigger whilst he is still a teenager.
The fans are loving Foden these days, as it has been rare for young talent to break through since the club became such a global superpower.
Across Manchester at Old Trafford, City supporters had to witness local reds rack up trophy after trophy, but now it is their turn to bask in the glory.
