As reported by The Scottish Sun, Rangers have received a big boost with young star Ross McCrorie returning to first team training this week after a lengthy injury lay-off.
What’s the story?
The versatile defender has been out of action for the entirety of 2018 after exacerbating an existing injury on the club’s trip to Florida in the winter break and the Light Blues have badly missed his presence.
Using the international break to put in work at the club’s Auchenhowie training ground, The Scottish Sun report that player is approaching full fitness after his extended lay-off.
Can the 20-year-old slot right back in to Graeme Murty’s side and help them deliver on their existing ambitions in the closing stages of the season?

How important is his return?
With fellow defenders David Bates and Russell Martin also unavailable to Murty in recent weeks and the likes of Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso still failing to convince supporters of their ability, the return of McCrorie is huge for Rangers.
Gers fans trust him too and are likely to give massive backing to the youngster when he returns, which could be important for the side’s confidence.
With a second-place spot to secure and a massive Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic on the horizon, the Light Blues need their best players available and McCrorie has proven to be that this season whether in the heart of the defence or in midfield.
This is one return that fans will be counting down the seconds for.
